@FlukeTi20 i also have a 40d with a failed shutter. does the 40d not require the re-soldering of the shutter units ribbon? how long did the transplant take u?

@kramarica01 It doesn’t require to re-solder the ribbon cable, because the new shutter for the 40D comes with the ribbon cable on it. But during the process you need to solder one thing, it is written in the service instructions. I have got the service manual for 40D, it is very-very helpful during the operation. I also have pictures about my 40D during the service. If you want it, I can send it, just write your e-mail adress.
Furthermore the whole transplant did take 4-5 hours.

I just bought my 30d used, no manual and dont know how to set it to NO flash?
