WOW! Because of this super information technology highway (aka The Inter-Webs), a young, very talented lady photographer from Austria, contacted me and shared her experience she had with your Canon 30D which was very similar to mine. Of course after I replaced my shutter (see that work via video in my videos), and found the camera just as broken before the spent on parts and 8+ hours on repair, I almost sold it for pennies on the dollar. But when Sabine Leidinger from Austria came along and share her story, along with detailed pictures of what she repaired on her 30D, I decided to take another look. Im glad I took another quick look; as it turns out my mirror mechanism wasnt exactly how Sabine described hers, but because I manually move the mechanism I must have re-tracked it and it now works again, plus I have a brand new shutter! I know firsthand how difficult it is to tear this camera apart, so I have a lot of respect for the young gal from Austria that helped me. Thanks a million Sabine!

For the full Canon PowerShot SX130 IS review, visit www.infosyncworld.com There’s no shroud of mystery draped over the fact that Canon is one of the leading rulers of the point-and-shoot market. In fact, we’d go so far as to tell you that you really can’t get any better than a Canon if you’re looking for a sub-0 compact. Some would argue that Panasonic is #1, and rightfully so. Panasonic produces some of the best compacts as well. However, over the years we’ve spent reviewing digital cameras, it has always been an ongoing consensus that Canon is usually one step ahead of the competition. That’s why it pains us to say that the Canon PowerShot SX130 IS is fatally flawed. Not by image quality, not by features, not by construction, interface, or body design. In those categories, the Canon PowerShot SX130 IS shines just like any other prized point-and-shoot we’ve seen to date. But our photographic adventures were frequently interrupted by battery changes. Far too frequently. In fact, we couldn’t go more than a half hour without tossing in fresh AAs. A lithium ion battery might have cured this longevity issue, but it’s too little too late. Sadly, the Canon PowerShot SX130 IS exhibited the worst battery life we’ve seen to date. If you’ve got an endless supply of AA Lithium photo batteries, then read on.

MOV clips are big! I am used to using my Windows “Movie Maker” which saves clips as WMV’s but WMM won’t read MOV’s so I am on the lookout for new, reasonably priced, video editing software. I have tried various file conversions for 2 days now but there are problems of one type or another with all the conversion utilities (noise and poor quality in the audio, stuttering on zoom and panning clips, inability of the converted clip to load into Windows Movie Maker, etc.

This video is made for all of you out there who have or may experience the dreaded error 99 message on your Canon SLR Digital Camera. I would say that the majority of the time, you will see it when you are using non-Canon lenses, but it does appear for Flash Card and Camera Body issues. This is the troubleshooting method I recommend to all users to help narrow the issue down. If this type of video was helpful, you may enjoy my new DVD, Advanced Photography Techniques which can be ordered from this link: michaelthementor.com

Another great lesson from the Canon Rebel T2 i Video Lesson DVD I wanted to share. This covers the new live view features, which allows you to use your monitor to compose and focus on the monitor. Its a little tricky, so I hope it helps. This lesson is just one of many from my new DVD, Canon T2i Crash Course by Michael The Maven. If you are new to intermediate or even an advanced user looking to learn more about your Cano Rebel T2i, you are definitely going to want to check out the DVD. It can be ordered from this link: michaelthementor.com

This is a great lesson from the Canon Rebel T2i DVD I wanted to share with you. It is just one lesson from nearly 4 hours of fantastic lessons from my new DVD, Canon T2i Crash Course. Please do not let the “made for beginners” fool you, it assumes you know nothing about the T2i and takes you through very advanced settings and techniques, including video theory, and many more lessons. If you master the principles taught on this DVD, you will save about 2-3 years trying to learn from trial and error. It can be ordered from this link: michaelthementor.com
